My name is Frank Sorrento, and I’m a conservative voting for Karen Colon Hayes. I’ve known Karen for over 10 years – our daughters went to the Linden School and joined MPW Cheer together. Our families became friends and over the next 5 years Karen and I would carpool to the cheer competitions together. We spent hours in the car discussing a variety of issues from parenting, to world events and local politics. It was evident that politically we were on different sides of the isle, but it was clear we had shared values. Karen is open minded and has always listened to what I had to say. We both learned not to make assumptions about someone based on their vote, but instead to be curious and ask questions to find common ground. No matter what side of the isle you’re on, with Karen on the city council, you will always have a seat at the table. That is why I am voting for Karen for Councillor at Large on Tuesday November, 2nd and I hope you will too.
